Nils Geylen over at dotcomslash blog posted this story yesterday about this guy. Worth a read, huge toolbag.
Starbucks: “‘Tis better to Give and Receive” AIDS.
by Kyle on Nov.27, 2008, under Funny
I’m not 100% that those doing the marketing at Starbucks really thought this through all the way. On certain days at Starbucks, a certain amount of your $5 cup of coffee will go to the RED campain for AIDS research and prevention. However, they are more than welcome to keep the HIV. Thanks.
Happy Thanksgiving!

John’s new hat.
by Mark on Nov.26, 2008, under Funny, SCIENCE!
Since Brian’s new hat came out, John won’t shut up about his new hat.
It really makes him happy. He wears it almost everywhere.
Sometimes his friends get jealous that he has such a great hat. John takes care of this issue quickly to avoid further confrontation with his loved ones.
They make great Christmas presents.
Aunt Gail couldn’t be happier. Three cheers for John and his new hat!
And who wanted to sleep tonight?

A mile and a half (two and a half kilometers) underwater, a remote control submersible’s camera has captured an eerie surprise: an alien-like, long-armed, and—strangest of all—”elbowed” Magnapinna squid. (See photos of Magnapinna.)
Contains 15% of a solution

Today, after briefly engaging in one of my favorite activities (texting friends whilst pooping — they have no idea!), I decided to browse the pictures I have taken with the camera on my phone. I mostly use it to document things I find absurd in everyday life. I will share some with you now.
I took this one at the Teet while shopping for lunch meat.
It says “Contains up to 15% of a solution.” I didn’t buy it.
Being from Virginia, when I saw this next one my first thought was:
More Irish “Love”
by Brad on Nov.25, 2008, under Awesome
Since I am new here, I figured I would pile on the Notre Dame love fest started yesterday with a Photoshop I did last year. Since the Irish are probably Sun Bowl Bound (as a Boilermaker, I am all too familiar with that), I figure I should help remind those fans of their recent Bowl woes.
I feel you Kermit, I feel you.

This is a thoughtful and tasteful rendition of one of the best songs ever written by Trent Reznor and covered by the late Johnny Cash. Mr. the Frog puts forth his talent, pain, emotion, and musical talent into this dark and painful, lyrically complex composition.

A salute to Notre Dame football…

Given the recent triumphant choke job that Charlie Weis orchestrated on Saturday, I thought it would be a timely moment to direct your attention to this video:Why aren’t we #1????
And as if losing to 2-8 Syracuse on senior day when you’re up 23-10 at the start of the 4th doesn’t sting enough, the students know how to cap off the loss…
“South Bend fans shower Notre Dame players, police with snowballs”
Hilarity, FTW!!!
